What is your favorite childhood book?

I loved Corduroy by Don Freeman. I get nostalgic every time I see it on a kiddos book shelf when I babysit and love the important lessons it teaches.

What is your secret talent?

I was an Irish dancer for 10 years. I love my family’s Irish heritage and the special memories that come along with it.

Who was your favorite teacher in Elementary School and Why?

My favorite elementary teacher was Mr. Pitman. He really cherished every one of his students and showed this through the creation of an end of the year video with core memories he caught on camera of my class throughout the year. So sweet to look back on!

What is your favorite thing about working in a school?

What initially drew me to the pediatric field was the participation in each child’s unique journey; from watching them overcome obstacles to seeing them celebrate their growth. I consider myself to have a very nurturing personality, so I love being a part of achievements no matter how big or small. Working daily with the pediatric population for the past several years, I’ve experienced wisdom that is unmatched with any other treating population. Children inspire me with their enthusiasm and readiness for new learning and they supply me with a hefty dose of humanity each day. While I’m helping them to improve functional communication, my life is elevated to a higher level because of them.
