In Person Registration Process:

Fall registration is a required process that must be done by all families.  Students cannot start school in the fall until they are officially registered through our DPS process.

New families to Willow Elementary and returning families with students in ECE and Kindergarten will need to complete their registration process in person. You will need to plan to come to the school during our registration day (see information below). During this time, you will be able to complete the required paperwork and learn more about our school.  Please read the information that follows to be sure you come with all the materials you will need to successfully complete your child’s registration.

1- Registration Information
Registration will be at Willow Elementary on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, August 7, 2017 from 11 am – 6 pm

To save time, families with a DPS Parent Portal account can complete verification online prior to registration.

Access information on how to complete this process: Annual Family Update 2019-2020 flyer

2- Field Trip Fees:

This year we will be implementing a one-time payment of $30.00. This fee will cover all field trips for the year.  Opens on August 1st! There will be a station where you can pay your fee. Full and Partial scholarships are available.  You can pay with cash, credit, or check.

3- Online Student Verification

Save time during school registration by updating your student’s information online this summer, before registration begins in the fall.

The window for online verification is July 15-Aug. 30 at 5 p.m. As you know, all information for current students must be verified with DPS every year. By completing this process online, you avoid paper forms and decrease the time you spend at the school, and in line, during registration. Online verification is done through a DPS Parent Portal account – click here to sign up, or to check that your account is active and ready.

4- Please bring the following documentation with you to registration:
(We understand that you may have already submitted the information for the School of Choice application process; however, we will need to have a copy in our office of all documentation for the verification process).

  • Proof of Address – i.e. Xcel bill, water bill, signed lease, mortgage statement
  • Birth Certificate or Passport
  • Proof of Immunization

5- ECE ONLY:

If your child is going to be attending ECE-3 or ECE-4 in the fall, there are several forms you will need to complete. You will also need to have a health appraisal completed by your child’s doctor. You must submit the health appraisal by Monday, September 24th or your child will be temporarily unable to attend school until this form is received.

6- School Uniforms:

Willow is a school where all students (ECE-5) are required to wear uniforms. The tops need to be solid with no print in the colors of white, grey, navy blue and forest green. The bottoms need to be navy blue, grey, forest green, black or khaki (no jeans). SEE EXAMPLES HERE. *Any clothing purchased as a part of the PTA Spirit Wear Initiatives or special Willow events (i.e. Field Day) can be worn any time as a part of the school uniform.

*Be sure to review the changes to our uniform policy for next year so you are purchasing back-to-school clothing that aligns to our policy!

You can purchase uniforms from Walmart, Target, Old Navy or PTA recycling program.

PTA Uniform Recycling –  Bring your gently used items to registration (8/7) and drop them off at the PTA table. Our Uniform Recycling Committee will be having their BIG SALE at the PTA Pop-in for Popcicles (8/19) and they need to re-stock the supply!

7- School Supplies:

OPTION ONE:
Willow Elementary offers the EduKit program as a convenient option for busy families to order your student’s school supplies for the 2018/2019 year. EduKits are custom made to include the supplies selected and approved by our school and shipping is FREE! A list of items included in each kit can be accessed on our school’s ordering page at www.edukitinc.com. Your student’s order will be in the classroom on the first day of school. Extended online ordering is available through EduKit’s Last Chance program from June 11 – August 1. Last Chance orders are subject to an additional fee and will be delivered to your home shortly before school begins.

OPTION TWO:
